Pickup Truck Leasing Across the UK

Unrivalled durability meets everyday versatility. Secure rugged, high-payload pickup trucks with our competitive commercial leasing agreements designed for work and play.

The Ultimate Utility Vehicle

The modern pickup truck is an engineering marvel, seamlessly bridging the gap between a rugged commercial workhorse and a comfortable family SUV. Pickup Truck Leasing is highly popular among UK tradespeople, agricultural workers, and site managers who require immense carrying capacity and off-road capability without sacrificing cabin comfort.

At KR Automotive Group, we supply leading models from top manufacturers. Whether you need a robust single-cab for purely agricultural use or a premium double-cab loaded with leather seats and infotainment for site visits and weekend family trips, a leased pickup ensures you drive the most reliable and capable vehicles with manageable, tax-efficient monthly payments.

Off-Road Capability

Equipped with advanced 4x4 systems, high ground clearance, and locking differentials, pickups conquer muddy construction sites and rural tracks effortlessly.

Massive Payload

With rear load beds designed to carry heavy tools, materials, or equipment, most commercial pickups boast a payload capacity exceeding 1,000kg (1 tonne).

Towing Power

Need to move a heavy trailer, horsebox, or machinery? Modern pickups provide formidable towing capacities, frequently rated to pull up to 3,500kg safely.

Commercial Tax Advantages

The true appeal of pickup trucks for UK businesses lies in their unique classification. Historically, if a double-cab pickup truck has a payload capacity of exactly 1 tonne (1,000kg) or more, HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) classifies it as a Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV), rather than a standard company car.

This commercial classification means that VAT-registered businesses can usually reclaim 100% of the VAT on the lease payments. Furthermore, if provided to an employee, the Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) tax is set at a fixed flat commercial rate, which is often drastically lower than the BiK tax on a similarly priced petrol or diesel SUV. (Note: Always consult your accountant as HMRC rules regarding double-cab pickups are subject to periodic reviews).

Cab Styles Explained

  • Single Cab: 2 seats, no rear doors. Offers the maximum possible load bed length. Purely a working commercial vehicle.
  • Double/Crew Cab: 5 seats, 4 full-size doors. Slightly shorter load bed but allows transport of a full work crew or family.
  • Extended Cab: A compromise offering occasional, small rear seats (often fold-down) with "suicide" half-doors and a medium load bed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add a hardtop canopy to a leased pickup?
Yes, many businesses require a secure load area. You can often specify a hardtop canopy, roller shutter, or load liner to be factory-fitted as part of the lease agreement, or you can fit aftermarket accessories provided they are removed without causing damage before the vehicle is returned.
What if the truck gets scratched on a building site?
Finance companies assess returned pickups against commercial BVRLA 'Fair Wear and Tear' guidelines, which are slightly more lenient than standard car guidelines, accepting that these are working vehicles. However, deep dents or major body damage must be repaired.
